The experience of owning and driving a Jeep is rarely captured in their advertising. All too often there are generic shots of driving over a creek, or carrying surfboards to a beach. There was a real story to be told because of its unique off-road capabilities. The drama here may seem exaggerated, but any Jeep owner knows this probably didn’t go far enough.

The basic narrative consisted of a police chase getaway over treacherous terrain, going places the squad car couldn’t. Our hero escapes and descends to a tranquil valley before encountering the real challenge: a nearly vertical ascent that doesn’t want to be climbed. The required traction, clearance, and torque are otherworldly. Does the Jeep dare?
